Don Williams—helping clients reach their goals for 30+ years.

Don Williams, CMFC®, CRPC®
Financial Advisor & Partner
Don Williams’ career path has helped build the foundation today for serving his clients as a Partner at Prime Capital Financial. Don started his career at IDS Financial (now Ameriprise) where he learned everything from the importance of financial planning to the investing process. He believes you can’t invest money successfully until you know what role your savings will play in achieving your goals.
Don then spent a decade at Charles Schwab, working in various roles from trading to conducting seminars on technical analysis and retirement planning. He developed the tools necessary in delivering a unique financial advisory experience to individual clients. Here he learned that in order to be a successful financial advisor, you must understand the complexities of the economy and markets while making it easily understandable for clients.
In 2006, Don combined his experiences and opened the Tampa offices of The Mutual Fund Store (now Edelman Financial Engines). He built the practice from the ground up to 400+ clients with over $100 million of assets under management in a few short years. In 2019, Don left Edelman Financial Engines and became an independent investment advisor representative with PCF where he serves his clients today.
A graduate of Washington & Jefferson College, Don currently holds the FINRA Registered Investment Adviser registration and has obtained the CMFC® (Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor) and CRPC® (Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor) designations from the College for Financial Planning. He lives in Tampa, Florida with his wife Kristin, where he enjoys boating, tennis and golf.
